With chilvarious days behind us, we women like to open our own doors, pay for our own food in the restaurant and most of all, never have a man tell us what to wear. But let me enlighten you - maybe you genuinely just have a nice guy.

If a nice guy is the worse that can happen to you, then you are better off for knowing him. When men open car doors for us, and pull our chairs out for you at the restaurant this is a good guy sign that is probably more into the relationship than you are willing to give him credit for. This type of guy can be both macho yet sensitive, usually respectful of woman and their previous relationships and can be counted on to listen when you have had a bad day. He will expect the same from you though as well, he will want you to meet his mother and respect her and he probably wants to know that you are able to cook a little - but you should let him know not to expect a domestic diva though as well.

Most men have a little old fashioned in them and it doesn't hurt for women to take notice to this while they tend to some of his needs, as he may tend to yours, a little bit of baking like his Mama used to do and watch the odd football game are all things that probably won't traumatize you in any way and should'nt leave you foaming at the mouth. After all, a relationship is a two way street and this type of solid guy will want to know that you care and that you are there for him and take part in some of his interests. This type of guy is a great campanion to have by your side as he will often be seen holding your purse when your hands are full and the occasional shopping mall excursion won't be like extracting teeth from him - he will truly enjoy your time together and savor you when you come home.

As much as women may need the strong shoulder to cry on but then also need a man to carry their couch up a flight of stairs, women should learn to be women in this day in age and let a fella' open their doors and lay their coat across a puddle so the man can feel like a man. As stereotypical as this is - I truly believe this works.

This after all is what is considered a normal monogamous relationship that most people truly desire.
