I have a friend who frequently visits online dating sites and she swears by it just with the opportunity of getting out and talking with people alone. She talks with her potentials for quite some time either on line or via phone, sets up a public place usually a Tim Horton's or something and has coffee with whom she is meeting. Research shows that dating site members that had built up a significant relationship by e-mailing or chatting online met for the first time and that a jaw dropping 94 per cent went on to see each other again. Also indicated in this study was that men were found to be more emotionally into the relationship with their email partners than women showing more commitment to a long term relationship and the willingness to continue on with their love interest. Obviously studies such as these not only show the potential for online relationships but that it actually does work for almost everyone surveyed.
